We collaborated with Jay Grimes to re-engineer all the essential features critical to the classical approach to Pilates, and we created the best version of the original Reformers found in Pilates studios around 1970.
The JGRIMES Contrology Reformer—as Jay Grimes puts it—is “everything you need and NOT all the things you don’t need.” It is available and ships ready to use, with no adjustments required…
Features:
- Choice of 4 models: 203 cm JGRIMES; available upon request: 203 cm, 218 cm, and 226 cm
- Extremely strong and durable aluminum frame
- One-piece side rails without welds, which are more stable even when in motion and feature a sleek, minimalist design (with no slits to trap dirt)
- Thin, dense, durable foam in the platform for maximum comfort.
- Aluminum shoulder support with greater structural integrity and rounded edges
- The lower angle of the footbar provides increased feedback during exercise
- The deeper Springbar lugs provide the correct angle
- The custom headrest remains in place.
- Rounded, anatomically contoured shoulders with padding for a better fit
- The special indentation in front of the shoulders helps the feet get a better feel for the base
- The specially designed springs provide the authentic feel and unique sound reminiscent of the original Reformer designed by Joseph Pilates himself.
- The specially treated genuine leather leashes with a ring and straps allow for minor adjustments to the strap length and complete the truly classic feel of the exercises.
